Storyhouse has announced the programme of outdoor cinema will tour to Castle Park in Frodsham and for the first time, Ashton Park in West Kirby.
The unique season of outdoor film kicks off in Chester’s Roman Gardens from July 5th – August 27th and will screen movies for all tastes.
Alex Clifton, Artistic Director of Storyhouse said ‘We are delighted to be taking our season of moonlit cinema into the region. Many of our audiences travel to see our work, so it’s wonderful to have the opportunity to be going to them.’
The line-up also includes 80s classic Dirty Dancing, post-apocalyptic sci fi Mad Max Fury Road, family favourite Inside Out, silent movie The Artist, romantic drama Brooklyn, all time rom-com classic Philadelphia Story, action blockbuster Jurassic World, iconic road movie Thelma & Louise, and cult hit of 2015 Birdman.
Screenings in Castle Park will be between July 22nd and 30th and in West Kirby’s Ashton Park between August 4th – 14th.
Picnicking is encouraged during the outdoor screenings and moviegoers can order pizza to be delivered to them.
Moonlight Flicks uses headphones to ensure maximum sound quality.
