#chesterculture – Preview: Sandi Thom reschedules Chester gig – 27th May 2016

After the announcement of the birth of her first baby this week, Sandi Thom has now confirmed the rescheduled Chester date at The Live Rooms for Friday 27th May 2016, with special guest, Eleanor Nelly.

Sandi will be performing a mix of brand new songs from her upcoming 6th album, including new single ‘Earthquake’ along with a selection of fan favourites from her back catalogue. Tickets for this special, not to be missed show are on sale here via See Tickets.

During her career since her UK number one ‘I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker’, Sandi has collectively sold in excess of over a million records, been nominated for a Brit Award, won a Digital Music Award, won Album Of The Year at the Scottish Music Awards with her 3rd studio album, and been given an Ivor Novello Award for excellence in songwriting.

With 2 Top 30 albums, including a No.1, Sandi Thom has racked 500,000 album sales in this country alone.
She has also played at Glastonbury, performed on stage with Brian May, Alice Cooper and George Michael and is now embarking on a brand new chapter in her career with her new album ‘Weapons of Past Destruction”.

Support is from the outstanding young talent, LIMF Academy’s ‘one to watch’, Eleanor Nelly  -a teenager with influences one will find in the record collections of those three or four times her age, is so much more than a token support act. This is a girl going places; one who shuns convention visually and sonically.

With the aura of a hardened troubadour, her stage presence transfixes any audience, whether it be with unique interpretations of the songs of others or her burgeoning skill as a songwriter in her own right.
