#ChesterCulture – New Original Music Stage for Chester Pride 2016

Chester Pride have announced a new music stage for 2016, featuring original music from local bands. This will be hosted by independent record label Drum With Our Hands who will be showcasing some of their current and up and coming acts.

Andy Garside and Steve Nicholls from Drum With Our Hands said in unison, a bit like the Grady twins from The Shining: “We are delighted to be hosting a stage at this year’s Chester Pride. We’ll be bringing along a choice selection from our fantastically varied roster of artists for you to enjoy. We’ll also have our resident DWOH DJs on-site to keep you entertained between bands. Three cheers to Chester Pride and all who sail in her!”

Chester Pride is a celebration of diversity and support for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer and transgender community. The event is free for all to attend and takes place on October 1 at Castle Square, Chester.

Helen Pickin-Jones, Chair of Chester Pride, said “We are very excited about having a brand new stage at Chester Pride. There is so much local talent, writing fantastic original music and Pride wants to support this. It also offers Pride attendees something new and fresh; you may find your new favourite band in our DWOH tent! Pride will have entertainment on our M&S Bank main stage, live original music in our DWOH tent, and of course the wonderful and bizarre in our alternative performance Glitter lounge space.”
