Tonight: Exhibition opening “Emerging Talent” at Chester Film Co-op

Tonight, Thursday 14th August at 7:00pm sees the launch of Chester Film Co-op’s latest exhibition: Emerging Talent.

Emerging Talent is a showcase of nine fantastic film and video pieces from recent graduates from the North West Region.  Following a great response to their open call inviting film and video submissions from graduates in the North West region earlier in the year. The Co-op selected nine diverse films which display the “breadth and depth of the talent in our region”.  Ranging from documentary to animation and time-lapse to the more conceptual there’s going to be a real eclectic, high standard of work.

The work is on show at the Chester Film CO-OP Gallery Studio 1, Northgate Street.  And if you attend the opening tonight at 7pm you can also join the group after for a drink and to meet the graduates next door in Studio 2.

I’m really looking forward to seeing this work and love that the Film Co-op continues to bring new and interesting film & video work into Chester. With lots more to come from them over the rest of the summer and into the autumn.

Works screened include pieces from…

Sophie Barrott / Mary Gelsomino / Charlotte Haigh / Katarzyna Jablonska / Liz McVicar / Natasha Moane / Bob Moyler / Michael Walls / Charlie Watts

Emerging Talent will continue to be screened until Wednesday 10th September, screening inside Studio 1 every Saturday between 12:00 and 4:00pm and into the Studio 1 window during the evening for viewing from the street.

Please RSVP if you want to attend the opening by visiting their Facebook event: https://www.facebook.com/events/1539367092948890/ or email the co-op info@chesterfilmco-op.co.uk  for more information.
