The Chester Arts Fair
November 16-17, 2013
This events starts TODAY!
If you love art– or even just LIKE art- this is a must see event.
There are 40 artists and galleries represented in one place sharing their immense talent with the people of Chester. The range of different artists- and techniques is amazing.
Local, national and international talent are on display to wow you.
Whether your interests are in painting, oils, acrylics, photography, manipulated photography, pencil works, glass, sculptures, wood carvings…it’s all on display.
At each artist’s stall there will someone on hand to answer your questions- explain a bit about the work and of course sell their work.
Many of the artists are there themselves!
We were lucky enough to attend the opening event last night where artist Peter Hill did a live demonstration . He painted in his unique style and the audience could watch his work come to life.
An experience to remember.
Saturday and Sunday will hold more Q&A sessions-
one Saturday at 12:00 with pencil artist Kelvin Okafor.
Saturday at 3:00pm LIVE painting with Peter Hill.
Some of my personal favourites were the works of JJ Adams – a South African digital artist who incorporates his tattoos into his work
and the amazing and colourful Kerry Darlington from Rhyl, N. Wales.
There is something for everyone at this 2nd Annual Chester Arts Fair.
Supporting local education:
There is a section also displaying works from local children from
The Queens School.
The entire Arts Fair is presented in a relaxed and friendly environment.
There will be an area for children- and food and drink available as well.
Tickets are £10 (£6 concession) at the door. Children under 16, students and OAP can enter for FREE!
Many Thanks to the local Black Mango Events for organizing this event in Chester.
