Christmas Lights

Reminder community events for Christmas:

Hello everyone – just a reminder that there are a few great community organized events happening SOON
to mark the holiday season.
I agree with Amy– these events always get me into the spirit of Christmas!!!
On Thursday November 21 the Chester Christmas Market will begin.
6pm in front of the Town hall– open by the Lord Mayor
There  will be a wonderful Christmas  Light parade starting at Abbey Square at 6:30pm.
A volunteer and local performers organized parade.
The Christmas Light parade -a procession of Roman Legionaries carrying flaming torches and more…welcoming  the “Queen of Light” into the city.
As the parade moves through town the lights will be switched on for all to admire.
The parade will go from Abbey Square through St Werburgh street , down Eastgate Street then Watergate Street. You can follow the parade as it heads towards the Racecourse
and   The Winter Wonderland.
The Winter Wonderland will have free admission this one night only ( £5 thereafter).
There will be a lighting of a Christmas Tree, music , food / craft stalls
and some local celebrities  to welcome everyone.
The Winter Wonderland will close at 10pm.
The following Thursday December 5 and December 12 (7pm) the will be  two more
colourful and amazing
Winter Watch Parades in the city centre.
These events are all organized by the people of our community. Come one and all to enjoy in the holiday spirit!
Chester Winter Watch is always looking out for participants to join in the parades. It suits those who want to dress up and run around, carry giant puppets etc.
