Local theatre company Tip Top Productions, based at The Forum Studio Theatre are continuing to fly the flag for live Theatre in the City and, as they prepare to launch their new Season, the Volunteer run Theatre Company are inviting the public to join them for a “Bloomin Great Tea Party” to raise funds for a national Cancer charity.
On Saturday 6th July between 2pm and 4pm, the Theatre will throw open its doors to host “A bloomin Great Tea Party” in aid of Marie Curie, there will refreshments including some delicious home made cakes on offer, with all proceeds going to the Marie Curie appeal. The public will also have the opportunity to find out how they can get involved at the Theatre and as well as picking up a copy of Tip Top’s new brochure for the 2013/2014 Season of plays and other events which includes a special staging of the ever popular “Bouncers” by John Godber which will re-unite Tip Top’s original cast as Mark Newman, Brian Gorman, Simon Phillips and Stuart Evans revive their original roles. Other highlights include Musical compilation show “This is My Musical”, “Witness for the Prosecution”, “Useless Beauty”, a production of the smash hit Musical “Avenue Q”, “Useless Beauty” a new play by Tip Top stalwart Mark Newman, Panto in the shape of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs plus another three episodes of the classic BBC comedy “Fawlty Towers” will be staged by popular demand. The Box Office will also be open for bookings for all the upcoming shows and events during the Tea Party.
On Friday 28th June, the Theatre will play host to The Chester Playwrights group who return with “From Script to Stage and Beyond”, script in hand performances of new works by local writers including short plays and the ever popular Folk group The Houghton Weavers make a welcome return on July 20th with their mix of comedy and well known songs, following a sell out show in December last year.
